Podcasts I Subscribe To On My iPhone

I (Adam) get asked often about what I'm reading or what podcasts I listen to often.  I'll share my reading list for the first half of 2014 in another post soon.

Here are a few (not all) of the Podcasts to which I am subscribed.  I don't necessarily listen to them all completely or all the time.  I like variety and differing styles/ approaches of these speakers. I'll listen to them while I'm running/ working out or when I'm in the car (and not dialed into my usual 1010xl):

I listen to The Crossing Church podcast.  Haha!  Give it a try.

Ask Pastor John is a podcast where John Piper takes 4-8 minutes to answer a question from someone who has written into him.  I love his biblical, thoughtful, God-centered answers to very pressing and relevant topics.

David Platt is a pastor at Brook Hills Church and author.  He is a little monotone in his delivery, but his content will really push you to engage following Jesus with your whole life.  I like being pressed on harder to take Jesus at his word.

Eric Mason is a church planter and author in inner-city Philadelphia.  He is a powerful, Christ-centered voice from the African-American community.  Eric is a part of the same church planting network. I have heard him speak and met him numerous times.  He is a great blend of deep theological reflection and passion.

Andy Stanley has had a huge impact on my life and ministry.  This is his Leadership podcast. I have served on North Point's extended staff through their campus planting efforts.  I have spent a couple of times with him one-on-one, and spent numerous times in meetings with him.  He is a strong, "kingly" leader and great communicator.

Elyse Fitzpatrick is a really thoughtful, Christ-centered, wise woman.  Kristen is onto reading her second book by Elyse, and loving it!  It's called "Found In Him".  Elyse doesn't have a podcast that I know of, but if you can find audio or video of her speaking at conferences, watch it!

Louie Giglio is another person I have had a chance to know a little and sit under his teaching when I was in seminary in Atlanta.  He led a Bible study that I attended and really grew in my understanding of living for God's Glory.  He now pastors Passion City Church and leads the Passion Movement.  Listening to Louie causes me to love Jesus with my affections or heart.

Tim Keller is just a godly sage.  The man is wise.  He loves Jesus.  He has planted and leads a church planting initiative in one of the hardest grounds there is (NYC).  He feeds the intellectual side of me and causes me to love Jesus with my mind.

Jen Wilkin is another great, godly woman that has a Christ-centered and very down-to-earth practicality.  If you are a mom, she is a great one to listen to often.  She does her homework, lays it out, and then shows you how you can apply the Gospel.

Matt Chandler is a pastor at The Village Church, author, and president of Acts29 Network. He speaks into a southern religious culture in Dallas that is not too, too different than our context. He is also speaking to a young church, and urging them into the Mission of God.

There are other ones that I listen to as well, but this should give you a good start if you need something to redeem the commute and listen to.  What do you listen to?
